This quickstart establishes the account hierarchy used by every Aptranet service and verifies API access.

Before you begin

You need access to the Aptranet Management Console. Public self-registration is unavailable. Contact support@aptranet.com if you need access.
1

Sign in and secure your account

Sign in at console.aptranet.com. Open Account security and add TOTP or a passkey before creating production credentials.
2

Create or select an organization

Select an organization from the organization switcher. If your account can create one, provide its legal or operating name and an optional description.
3

Create a project

Open Projects and create a project. Use separate projects for production, staging, and independent teams when you need isolated resources and credentials.
4

Activate a service

Open Billing → Subscription, choose a Cloud CDN, Cloud DNS, or Cloud Shield plan, and complete checkout. Cloud Shield is billed monthly and protects an existing Cloud CDN distribution. TLS Manager is available with an active CDN or TLS Manager service. A billing profile is required before subscribing.
5

Create an API key

Open Developers → Create API key. Give the key a descriptive name and grant only the permissions it needs. Copy the access key and secret immediately; the secret is shown only when it is created or rolled.
6

Call the API

Replace the example credentials and request the resources owned by your key’s project.
A new project normally returns an empty array or a 204 No Content response until it contains resources.
Never place an API secret in browser code, a public repository, logs, or support messages. Use a server-side secret manager and roll the secret if exposure is possible.

Continue
